Activities are the core, the basis by which education is to be imparted at our School. The learning of the child is not to be gauged by just by just how knowledgeable s/he is at the end of the schooling but by how competent, how reflective and how creative s/he is. Students will be equally encouraged to be artists, musicians and sportspersons, as they will be prepared to become doctors, engineers and bureaucrats as well.

Activity based teaching learning is attempted and planned for each level. As far as possible, activities are also integrated with learning experiences in the actual world.

While planning the school curriculum, emphasis has been placed on activities for the Pre-Primary (up to K.G.), Lower Primary (class I-V), and Upper Primary (class VI-VIII), for the Secondary and the Senior Secondary prepared materials is available in the guidelines of the CBSE and the NCERT and so these have been provided. The suggested activities in these guidelines have also been incorporated at the lower levels, wherever feasible, keeping the age group of the student in mind.

The SUPW is also geared to sensitize students to community building and to develop respect for labour. SNEH students will definitely grow up to be honest and caring citizens of the nation and the world.

Co curriculum activities such as Sports and Games, Dancing and singing, Theatre, Reading and Art & Craft have been incorporated into the syllabus and build up a positive self image. To give healthy competitions such as in Dance, Drawing and Painting, Recitation, Story telling, Sports and other field have been planned. These competitions will go a long way in helping student to identify and showcase their talents and hobbies and to become confident of their abilities. Spirit and fervor for learning has been added by celebrating various occasions and festivals such as Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Raksha Bandhan, Janamashtmi, Dussehra and Earth Day and many more. This way SNEH student will grow up to appreciate the rich culture, tradition and the literary heritage and will learn to be tolerant to other communities. They will also learn to work as a team and develop the skill of planning and organizing functions and events.

It is to enable all this that the school hours have been extended up to 3.30p.m. for classes II and above. The daily time table has been worked out to have a reasonable mix of academics with the varied activities.
